Vision
To be a leading department in the formation of professional engineers in the fields of mechanical, industrial, energy and automotive engineering; with outstanding competencies for technological and scientific research; eco-friendly innovation, entrepreneurship, management and development of technologies for the benefit of the country as well as the world.

Missions
M1: To build the highest quality mechanical engineers and technologists with societal values.
M2: To carryout world class undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, training, research and develop innovative technology for the industry and consultancy for the benefit of society at national and international communities.
M3: To inculcate a sense of highest ethical and professional standards among the students.

Aims of the Department
A1: To cultivate and sustain a robust academic and professional capacity among faculty and staff to enhance departmental effectiveness.
A2: To train competent and accountable graduate and postgraduate engineers capable of fulfilling both national and international demands.
A3: To offer contemporary and tailored laboratory resources to faculty and students for the execution of high-caliber research.
A4: To merge teaching, research, and practical expertise for the preservation and effective utilization of knowledge and skills.
A5: To develop, refine, and implement teaching and research initiatives aligned with the industrialization requirements of the country.
A6: To elevate the programs' national and international standing and pursue accreditation from organizations such as BAC, IEB (BAETE), ABET (EAC, ETAC), and APQN.
A7: To enhance and broaden collaborations and partnerships with industry and various
organizations.
A8: To foster and maintain strong relationships and effective communication with our distinguished Alumni, we aim to gather their invaluable insights to improve departmental academic initiatives and associated activities.
